The mimic
Thriving on the dualities of opposing characteristics, the Mimic forfeits compliances to any functional briefs, as it seeks to interrogate the simple yet sophisticated question: what is sitting? It is a paradox, a conception of ambiguous sitting for the restless body. It is as curvaceous as it is wide, as organic as it is methodical, as inviting as it is deceptive. At times, it almost feels like an alien creature impersonating this distant concept known as “sitting”. There are deliberate attempts to mimic the shape and form of a dining chair, but in no way behaves like one. It beckons for a key question: but how do you sit on it?
